Writer's Zone

Everyone has one. You can determine yours by place: Where do you feel best? I was writing indoors for awhile, and found it to be too confining and unsettling. Intuitively, I knew that the outdoors was a better zone for me.The lake outside my window, with its sunlit water and nearby willow trees, called. Still, I continued writing with not much pleasure.

I learned, through a process of elimination, that my "zone" is outdoors. Specifically, by the pool where the lake and trees are within sight. And who should visit but crow? My spirit animal. He was shape shifting with me as I wrote.
